Ocean County Press Release
TOMS RIVER – With Governor Murphy announcing that indoor shopping malls are to close starting March 17 until further notice, the Ocean County Connection is closed until further notice as well.
The Ocean County Connection is located in the Ocean County Mall, 1201 Hooper Ave., here.
"It is important that we limit social contact and congregating in large groups to help prevent spreading COVID-19," said Ocean County Freeholder Director Joseph H. Vicari. "The County Connection will be closed until further notice for not only our staff's health, but our residents' health as well."
While the services at the County Connection will be disrupted, all of the employees will be moved to other locations in the Ocean County government for the time being.
"We continue to encourage residents to avoid large crowds and take the necessary precautions to protect themselves from the virus," said Vicari. "The information is changing every day and it is imperative to take this seriously."
With other Ocean County government buildings closed for non-essential county business, the public is urged to call the county's central switchboard at 732-244-2121 or visit the county website www.co.ocean.nj.us to find out information about other county programs and services.
